Sitting in the library researching the book of “Song of Songs (Solomon)” for an exegetical exam that if passed shall move me closer to ordination. I have never really looked into the book before. I am discovering some wonderful nuggets. Song of Songs was the most commentated on book in the Medieval period of European history. There are more critics and disagreements than there are agreements on interpretation of this book.
I can see a wonderful sermon series on this book…Gods love in a material world.
I had the best breakfast this morning! I love the breakfast. Nothing says Gods love like eggs, sausage, and biscuits! I hope God has grape jelly for the biscuits in heaven.
Go songs! I’m working on it now too. It’s got some great stuff, but I am a bit cross-eyed after not having read a lot of hebrew in a year. Congrats on the engagement, by the way. 🙂
Besides the fact that I’m mostly vegetarian, I really like biscuits and gravy. SAUSAGE gravy. Father, Forgive Me.
Your sins are forgiven. Gravy is wonderful. If Mere would let me I would gravy everything. That’s right I used gravy as a verb. Silly gravy, you make me laugh.Thank you Whitney! Hey, Mel is coming to APTS this semester. Blessings and peace on the Canticle of Canticles! I love this book!!!
